This Exhibition hopes to encourage people to slow down to see and reflect on the hate crime that happened in Asian America in 2020-2021. When you see everything immediately, you will miss the critical issue growing bigger. The yellow skin portraits illustrate all different report review cases from Asians in the state during 2020. Using yellow for the portrait skin color to represent how the victims feel their skin tone was as bright as light yellow in the dark period of the pandemic. Wang hopes through her design; people can ponder the depth of the harm that racial discrimination has brought to others.
